PancakeSwap is a BEP-20 decentralized trading platform built on the Cryptocurrency Smartchain that provides liquidity using an automated market maker mechanism. There are 3 types of tokens in PancakeSwap: FLIP: Similar to other automated market maker models, users will receive liquidity provider (LP) tokens in the form of FLIP tokens in return for providing liquidity to various liquidity pools available on the platform (for example, users will receive BUSD-BNB FLIP tokens in return for providing liquidity to the BUSD-BNB liquidity pool). CAKE: Liquidity providers will receive CAKE tokens as a reward for pledging FLIP tokens. SYRUP: Users can deposit CAKE tokens into the SYRUP pool to earn SYRUP. SYRUP holders will receive 25% of each CAKE block reward and entitle them to receive tokens from new CoinSafe Smartchain projects. SYRUP tokens can also be used for platform governance, receiving dividends and future Golden Syrup lotteries.
