Conflux Network is a scalable and decentralized blockchain network designed for high throughput and fast confirmations. It is based on the GHAST consensus protocol, which handles concurrent blocks without dropping any forks and adaptively assigns heterogeneous weights to blocks based on the topology in a distributed ledger structure called a tree diagram.Conflux Network organizes blocks in the ledger into a tree diagram structure, which keeps track of the ex ante occurrence of relationships between blocks. Based on this ledger, Conflux allows all nodes in the network to generate a consistent block-out order. This block-out order is derived from a hub chain in the ledger that is selected by applying the maximum subtree rule, thus avoiding double-spend attacks at fast block generation rates.
