The Secret Shared Verifier (SSV) network is a secure way of splitting the Ethernet verifier key between untrusted node instances (or operators). The verifier key is split so that no node must trust another to operate, a certain number of nodes can be taken offline without impacting verifier performance, and no single node instance can unilaterally control the verifier. POS blockchain participants can choose to decentralize for their own security and the overall health of the network. the SSV network allows network participants to securely operate distributed verifiers within the POS stack without impacting accessibility, performance, or cost. The project is intended as a public offering that allows anyone with access to the node operator network to distribute their validators trustlessly across multiple service providers, cloud instances, clients and geographies.
