This Privacy Policy explains how the Bitunix Discord Bot ("the Bot") collects, uses, and handles information when you interact with it across Discord servers. The Bot is operated by Bitunix.com.
This Privacy Policy applies solely to the Discord Bot ("Bot") and explains how the Bot collects, processes and uses information when you interact with it through Discord. This Privacy Policy supplements, but does not replace, the Bitunix Privacy Policy.
1.Information the Bot Collects & Receives
To provide automated verification and partner channel access control, the Bot utilizes specific Discord Privileged Intents to read minimum required data points:
- Discord User Information: We temporarily process your Discord User ID (Snowflake ID) and username when you join a partner server or initiate a command.
- Account Linking Data: When you verify your account, you provide your Bitunix User ID (UID) to match your account status.
- Server Presence & Roles: The bot reads your online/offline status and current roles inside the server to manage automated channel permissions.
- Command Messages: The bot momentarily reads text input following administrative configuration commands (e.g., /setwelcome) to store custom server configurations.
2. How We Use the Information
The data processed by the Bot is used exclusively to support the community features outlined in our documentation:
- To verify your Bitunix referral code, eligibility status, and trading volume tier status via internal APIs.
- To automatically assign or adjust your Discord server roles and channel access permissions based on your tier status.
- To configure custom welcome messages and server announcements for community administrators.
3. Data Storage and Retention
- No Discord Message Retention: We do not log, scrape, or store your Discord message history, friend lists, or presence history on external databases.
- Bitunix Infrastructure: Your Bitunix account data (trading volume, eligibility status) remains safely stored within the main Bitunix.com core exchange database infrastructure, fully protected by the security measures outlined in our primary website policy.
- Transient Processing: Data processed via Discord gateways is handled in-memory and dropped after the role verification or administrative command routine is executed.
4. User Control and Opt-Out
Users can choose not to link their Bitunix account with the Bot. If an account is already linked, users can disconnect their account or request data clarification at any time by contacting Bitunix Support via the main support center. Turning off "Activity Status" in your personal Discord client settings will also prevent the bot from receiving your presence status.
Compliance Statement
The Bitunix Discord Bot is designed solely to facilitate community verification and automated Discord server role management.
The Bot:
- does not provide trading, brokerage, payment, or other financial services through Discord;
- does not execute transactions, process deposits or withdrawals, or allow users to access or operate their Bitunix accounts through Discord;
- does not disclose users' account balances, detailed trading records, transaction history, or other confidential account information to Discord servers, community administrators, or any third party;
- does not collect or retain Discord message content beyond what is necessary to process user-initiated Bot commands;
- does not sell, rent, or otherwise commercialize Discord user data;
- processes only the minimum information necessary to perform community verification, eligibility verification, and automated role assignment.
The Bot is intended solely as a community management and account verification tool for users who have independently chosen to use Bitunix. It is not intended to provide, facilitate, or promote any financial transactions through Discord.
