Cashback Examples

Example 1: Unlocking a Higher Cashback Tier Through Monthly Spending

Suppose:

  • Your current Bitunix VIP level is VIP 2.
  • Based on your VIP level, you are eligible for the VIP 2 Cashback Tier.
  • VIP 2 offers: 2% cashbackMaximum monthly cashback: 12 USDT

Step 1: Start the Month as VIP 2

At the beginning of the month, all eligible card transactions earn cashback according to the VIP 2 cashback rate.

Cumulative SpendingCashback TierCashback Earned
100 USDTVIP 22 USDT
300 USDTVIP 26 USDT
600 USDTVIP 212 USDT (Monthly cap reached)

Step 2: Unlock VIP 3 Cashback

Later in the same month, your cumulative card spending reaches 1,000 USDT.

This meets the minimum spending requirement for the VIP 3 Cashback Tier.

Immediately after reaching this spending threshold:

  • ✅ Your cashback tier is upgraded from VIP 2 to VIP 3
  • ✅ Your monthly cashback cap increases from 12 USDT to 36 USDT
  • ✅ The VIP 3 cashback tier remains valid until the end of the following calendar month

Important: Cashback earned before the upgrade is not recalculated. Only eligible transactions made after the upgrade will earn cashback at the VIP 3 cashback rate.

Step 3: Continue Earning Cashback at VIP 3

After unlocking VIP 3, all eligible spending earns cashback at the VIP 3 rate (2%) until your total monthly cashback reaches 30 USDT.

For example:

JulySpend reaches 1,000 USDT → Upgraded to VIP 3
AugustContinue enjoying VIP 3 cashback benefits
SeptemberCashback tier is recalculated based on your August spending and your current Bitunix VIP level

Cashback Tier Validity

Your upgraded VIP 3 cashback tier remains valid for:

  • The remainder of the current month; and
  • The entire following calendar month.

Example timeline:

If your August spending does NOT reach 1,000 USDT, and your Bitunix VIP level remains VIP 2, your cashback tier will automatically revert to VIP 2 in September.

MonthCashback Tier
JulySpend reaches 1,000 USDT → Upgraded to VIP 3
AugustContinue enjoying VIP 3 cashback benefits
SeptemberCashback tier is recalculated based on your August spending and your current Bitunix VIP level

  • Cashback tier is determined by whichever is higher: Your Bitunix VIP level; or The cashback tier unlocked through monthly spending.
  • Cashback tier upgrades take effect immediately once the required spending threshold is reached.
  • Cashback earned before an upgrade will not be recalculated.
  • Only eligible transactions completed after the upgrade earn cashback at the higher cashback rate.
  • Once unlocked, the higher cashback tier remains valid until the end of the following calendar month.
  • At the beginning of each month, your cashback tier will be recalculated based on your current VIP level and your previous month's eligible spending.

Transaction Eligibility and Merchant Category Code (MCC) Terms:

  1. Determined by Card Networks: Whether a transaction is eligible for cashback is determined solely and exclusively by the Merchant Category Code (MCC) and transaction data transmitted to Bitunix by the respective Card Networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard). Bitunix is not responsible for assigning MCCs to merchants and has no authority to alter the transaction codes received from the Card Networks.
  2. Exclusion of Liability for Misclassification (MCC Mis-coding): If a transaction is not eligible for cashback due to a merchant or its acquiring bank (Acquirer) registering an incorrect MCC that does not match their actual business nature (commonly known as "mis-coding" or "mis-mapping"), or due to system setup errors by the acquirer, Bitunix shall not be liable for any compensation or retroactive credit of cashback.
  3. Right to Amend: Bitunix reserves the right to amend, add, or remove any MCCs from the ineligible list at any time in accordance with updates to Card Network regulations. Such updates will be reflected in the latest official announcement on our website.

Regional Restriction: Cashback is not applicable to any transactions (including both online and in-store purchases) where either the merchant's registered location or the transaction location is in a member state of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK).

Note: EEA member states include, but are not limited to, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Cyprus, and other EEA countries.
