1. When is my USDT deducted?
Your available USDT is typically deducted when the transaction is authorized.
Although the merchant may take 1–3 business days to complete settlement, the corresponding amount is reserved immediately once the payment is approved.
2. Why is my transaction showing as Pending?
A Pending status means your payment has been authorized, but the merchant has not yet completed settlement.
Most transactions are settled within 1–3 business days, although certain merchants (such as hotels, car rental companies, or gas stations) may take longer.
3. Why does my transaction sometimes show "Authorization Completed" and other times just "Completed"?
This is normal and depends on how the merchant processes card payments.
- Authorization Completed The merchant has first obtained an authorization to verify your card and reserve the transaction amount. At this stage, the funds are temporarily held but the transaction has not yet been fully settled. Once the merchant submits the final settlement, the status will change to Completed.
- Completed The merchant completed the authorization and settlement in one step. The payment has been fully processed and finalized.
- Different merchants use different payment flows, so you may see either status. Both indicate a successful transaction and do not represent any issue with your card.
4. What is an Authorization Hold?
An Authorization Hold is a temporary amount reserved by a merchant before the final payment is completed.
This is common for:
- Hotels
- Gas stations
- Car rental companies
- Cruise lines
Once the merchant submits the final amount, any unused portion of the hold will be released automatically.
5. Why is the final charged amount different from the authorized amount?
The final settled amount may differ from the authorized amount due to:
- Exchange rate fluctuations between authorization and settlement
- The merchant adjusting the final transaction amount
- Tips added after payment
- Authorization holds at hotels or gas stations
This is normal for Visa card transactions.
6. Why was my transaction declined?
A transaction may be declined for several reasons, including:
- Insufficient available balance
- Your card is locked or inactive
- The merchant category is not supported
- Security or fraud prevention checks
- The merchant does not accept this type of card
If the issue persists, please contact Bitunix Customer Support.
7. Why does it look like I was charged twice?
In most cases, this is not a duplicate charge.
You may see both:
- An authorization record
- The final settled transaction
Once settlement is completed, the temporary authorization will disappear or be updated automatically.
8. How long does a refund take?
Refunds are initiated by the merchant.
After the merchant processes the refund, it typically takes 2–3 business days for the funds to be credited back to your Card Balance. Some merchants may require additional processing time.
9. Will my cashback be reversed after a refund?
Yes.
If a refunded transaction previously earned cashback, the corresponding cashback may be deducted in accordance with the Bitunix Card Cashback Terms.
10. Which exchange rate is used?
For transactions made in currencies other than USD, the final conversion is based on:
- The applicable Visa exchange rate; and
- The Bitunix FX markup.
The final USDT deduction is calculated using the exchange rate applied at settlement.
11. Can I cancel a card transaction?
Once a card transaction has been authorized, it cannot be cancelled by Bitunix.
If you no longer wish to complete the purchase, please contact the merchant to request a cancellation or refund.
12. Can I dispute a transaction?
Yes.
If you believe a transaction is incorrect or unauthorized, please contact Bitunix Customer Support as soon as possible and provide:
- Transaction ID
- Merchant name
- Transaction date
- Supporting documents (if available)
Our team will assist you with the dispute process.
13. When will I receive my cashback?
Eligible cashback is credited after the transaction has been successfully settled.
Pending transactions are not eligible for cashback until settlement is complete.
